Christofle Silver Plated Ladle

A Christofle silver plated ladle in the Pearl (Perles) pattern, produced by the prestigious French silversmith house Christofle. This Christofle silver plated ladle carries the maker's stamp clearly visible on the underside of the bowl, reading "CHRISTOFLE" within a rectangular cartouche accompanied by the owl hallmark, confirming its French manufacture and silver-plated composition. The Pearl pattern, one of Christofle's most enduring flatware lines, is characterized by its double row of raised beading running along both edges of the handle.

The handle is flat and tapering toward a rounded terminal, with the beaded border extending continuously from the tip to where it meets the bowl. The bowl itself is notably deep and rounded, with a smooth domed interior and a wide rolled rim, well suited to serving soups or sauces. The silver plating retains a strong reflective finish overall, with light surface scratches consistent with age and use visible on both the handle face and the interior of the bowl. No chips, cracks, or repairs are observed. The style and hallmark suggest mid-to-late 20th century production.

The ladle measures 32.5cm in total length (12.8"). The bowl diameter is approximately 9cm (3.5") based on visual proportion. These dimensions place it firmly in the category of a standard soup or serving ladle.

A practical and collectible piece for those assembling a Christofle Pearl flatware service, or for use as a serving ladle with good visual presence on a formal table. The Pearl pattern remains actively collected and replacement pieces are consistently sought after.
