Antique Botanical Print Framed

A set of four antique botanical prints framed in gilt wood, each featuring a hand-coloured or chromolithographic illustration of a named plant species. The prints carry captions in Latin: Anemone blanda Schott et Ky., Vinca minor L., Phyllocactus-Heliocereus-Hybride, and Geum reptans L. Each antique botanical print framed under glass bears the mark "19C60", suggesting a publication or catalogue reference. These are consistent with mid-19th to early 20th century European botanical illustration publications.

The four prints depict respectively: blue-purple windflower (Anemone blanda) with lobed foliage; lesser periwinkle (Vinca minor) in blue-violet with trailing stems; a red-flowering cactus hybrid with flat green stems; and creeping avens (Geum reptans) with pale yellow flowers and dark rocky substrate. The illustrations are rendered in detailed naturalistic style with visible colour printing. Each print is set in a gilt wood frame with glass front. The paper shows age-related toning and foxing, which is clearly visible on all four prints and is consistent with their age. The reverse shows a plain cardboard backing with a single hanging hole.

Each frame measures approximately 18cm x 26.5cm / 7.1" x 10.4". The set comprises four frames of identical size and format.

A coherent set of four antique botanical prints framed identically, suited to gallery wall display.
